How to get from Noi Bai International Airport to Hanoi and vice versa?
Located only 28 kilometers away from the city center, the airport can be reached by different means of transportation:
1. By bus
Depending on the place you stay, you can take different bus routes to reach the airport:
From Cau Giay District: Bus No. 07
From Long Bien District: Bus No. 17
From Nam Tu Liem District: Bus No. 109
From Hanoi city center (Ba Dinh District, Hoan Kiem District, Hai Ba Trung District, Tay Ho District): Bus No. 90 and bus 86 Noi Bai Airport
From Ha Dong District: Bus No. 68
Other bus routes: Bus No. NB01, NB02, and NB03

2. Airport shuttle bus
Some airlines offer 16 or 45-seat shuttle buses from Hanoi city center to Noi Bai Airport and vice versa. You can find them at the bus stop in front of Terminal 1. It costs 40,000 VND per person for a one-way ticket.
3. Noi Bai Airport taxi
Going from Hanoi city center to Noi Bai International Airport and vice versa by taxi is another great choice. You can ask your hotel receptionist to book a taxi for you or you can book one yourself on the internet. It normally costs from 180,000 - 250,000 VND to go from Hanoi city center to Noi Bai. If you are farther away, such as in Nam Tu Liem District or Ha Dong District, it will cost you 50,000 - 100,000 VND more.

1. By Bus
The bus system of Hanoi City has a wide network of routes, passing through most places in the city. Buses are an economical means of transportation. Moreover, you can comfortably sit in the air-conditioner and admire the view of the city from the glass window.

3. By Taxi
Taking a taxi is comfortable and especially convenient if you want to go to places that the bus cannot reach. Taxis charge according to the kilometer meter with the price of 1o,000VND - 12,000VND for the first 500m and 13,000VND-15,500VND for the next kilometer. The familiar taxi brands are TaxiGroup, Mai Linh, G7, Xanh SM… You can hail a taxi while standing on the side of the road in most places, or by queuing at the taxi stand available in most shopping malls, hotels and attractions.
4. By Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Hanoi
With a capacity of 2 floors, the bus travels through 24 routes, taking you to 11 of the city's most prominent attractions. At each stop, you are free to get off the bus, explore and experience in your own way. The whole city tour system is programmed automatically when operating to ensure that every 30 minutes at any point in the journey there is a car coming and going. Free utilities on the car such as city tourist map, headset with multi-language voiceover, free wifi connection, USB charging port, drinking water and travel insurance.

By Hanoi city urban railway
- Line 3: Nhon – Hanoi Station – Hoang Mai, approximate length of 21 Km. After 2020, this line will be expanded to Son Tay with total estimated length of 48 km; Each train of UR Line 3 has capable of transportation which is more than tens of times over the bus, with a maximum speed of up to 80km/h without influence by traffic jams thanks to separate operating way. Runtime from Nhon to Hanoi Railway Station (or vice versa) is only about 20 minutes.
- Line 2A: Cat Linh - Ha Dong, Line 2A has a large of transport capacity, contributing to reduction of traffic congestion to the arterial roads of the capital. Daily train operation is estimated to be from 5:00AM to 23:00PM. Run time from Cat Linh Station – Yen Nghia Station (or vice versa) is about 25.5 minutes.
